about

this is the remastered reissue of the 2012 psychedelic alternative electronica album with two additional tracks not on the original edition, played consistently on german radio since it came out. it features three very different versions of "kiss of chaos", the theme that ties the concept album together. there is also a running theme of the sci-fi comedy conspiracy of the pseudo-humanoids, stretched across a number of songs. many diverse streams of music come together in a strange brew of influences spanning many decades (triphop, ambient, funky breaks, industrial, alternative, new wave, noise/glitch, performance poetry & psychelic guirar freakouts), with the usual interplanetary dating & space chick tripping familiar to zedheads. read a review here: www.journal.bestmusictalent.de/zed-mizar-spiral-city-sky/

Track Name: kiss of chaos
kiss of chaos
by zed mizar

poems i cannot explain
resonate inside my brain
liberate a hurricane
thru the ruins roaring
thwart your ego of control
call you from your hidey-hole
send a shiver thru your soul
set your spirit soaring

fly together to the sun
when our work is done

the kiss of chaos (4x)

clear the disappearing scars
germinate the seedling stars
play our senses like guitars
with passion & with power
earth caress the scattered seeds
bowing as the blossom bleeds
as a bird on nectar feeds
i have kissed the flower

armor falling from your skin
melted from within

on a sea of silver blue
distant shores come into view
marble cities overgrown
pyramids of precious stones
purple banners in the breeze
azure parrots in the trees
splendid eagles roam the skies
wild & free as you & i

knowing what we can't reveal
locked within cocoons of steel
you nailed your passion to the wheel
a boring road awaits you
ardent lovers do conspire
to penetrate the smokescreen fire
stir the embers of desire
a kiss to liberate you

leave your chrysalis tonight
come into the light

the kiss of chaos (4x)
Track Name: gravity sucks (deep space funk)
gravity sucks (deep space funk)
by zed mizar

i go thru 14 dimensions each & every day
trying to avoid all the pseudo-humanoids
in a four-man saucer with a zetron drive
on the road with cyborgs from the asteroids

last night on interamnia's sub dub club
where alien chicks with purple eyes
were rocking that space funk warp 19
with jupiter giant in the neon sky
(hey richard--doesn't that big planet
look cool up there?)

gravity sucks

some pirates from pluto tried to jack my droid
in a rumble with some robots @ the satellite
& some clones jumped in but venusians got my back
so the bleeps bought the farm in a laser fight

we got gone in the saucer but we caught some flack
& we crashed on an ice moon in saturn's rings
now we're cooling our heels in a methane sea
with a pink & green sky hanging over me
(man its cold out here on this ice moon)

gravity sucks

some venusian saucer maidens had seen us crash
so they freed us from the muck with a levity ray
& they healed our saucer with magnetic fields
with a full tank of gas we were on our way

we got a gig in a galaxy not too far
so we made the quantum leap down the wormhole gate
& though the hyperspace distortions blur my thoughts
i'm going intergalactic in a weightless state
but wait--
what universe is this?
WHAT UNIVERSE IS THIS??
oh no--could it be--
went down the wrong black hole.
(i hate it when that happens)
what planet is that?
it's got us in it's gravity
that's earth--oh no--
that's that place the pseudo-humanoids took over!
pull up!

just my luck, gravity sucks
deep space funk when you're stuck in the muck
gravity sucks

i woke up next to a stranger
with eyes like razor blades
i thought it must be a nightmare
as slowly the image fades

i'm feeling an icy wind
that's chilling me to my bones
it's foggy down by the river
i'm lost in the night alone

trapped in the negative zone (4x)

i pause in the eerie silence
this desolate bleak landscape
i'm a phantom in nowhere limbo
i plot to make my escape

i don't recall how i got here
my whereabouts are unknown
the zombies are all around me
their faces are made of stone

trapped in the negative zone (4x)

the meteors fall like sparklers
thru phosphorescent clouds
illuminating plazas
& the costumes of the crowds
the bonfires in the temples
the airships flashing by
the galaxy above us
in spiral city sky

spiral city sky as deep as your eyes
spiral city sky
spiral city sky as deep as your eyes
spiral city sky

the angels in the garden
so luminous & clear
they linger with the peacocks
& charge the atmosphere
we watch them from the tower
they glide like fireflies
& vanish in the distance
in spiral city sky

spiral city sky as deep as your eyes
spiral city sky

Track Name: return of the howling fiends from oblivion pt. 2
return of the howling fiends from oblivion pt. 2

it was a sizzling day in stimula city--
the reptilian aliens had
rigged an election on saturn,
causing strontium 90
to be contained in the meteorite debris
raining down in saskatchewan.
(this resulted in aurora-like
advertising phenomena of appalling ubiquity).
bullwinkle impostors proliferated,
hastening he resurgence of an american
lounge legend.
hummingbird swarms escaped to siberia,
their wings causing rivers to flow backwards
& triggering an orbital
imbalance in twelve solar systems.
mysterious outposts in the oort cloud zone
faded into null space.

the reptilians hadn't counted on
uranian sunships
taking a more direct approach &
vaporizing their taco stands on mercury.
the crass insectivore c.e.o.'s had
also badly miscalculated
with the reptile sex channel,
which had so thoroughly nauseated entire
populations of six-packers
that the trans-planetary political fundraising
scam was faltering badly.
<<meanwhile, snakes lobbied congress
to outlaw irony.>>

the reptilians were in cahoots
with the hyperdimensional demons
in a plot to
drive up cuban real estate
with plagues of
voracious lawnmowers
& movies about fuzzy dogs with
spastic neck disorders.
they were behind the pink potato blight
from beyond jupiter &
the appearance of extinct
trilobites
in the sewer-like sea of oshkosh.

i had been fending off
hyperdimensional demons all week.
they're in the cupboards with
the irradiated asphodels.
they keep rewriting themselves onto
my hard drive
every time i erase them.
they control the gnats from the computer,
make them fly up my nose
when i'm meditating
& drown themselves in my glass
of beaujolais.
i've learned to burn the demons up
with hyperphasic waves but
sometimes they still
come in from the internet & materialize
thru the computer screen.

<<the wild packs of feral mutant
chihuahuas
had become a problem
@ the swap meet.
their maniacal snarls cut
gnarly backslashes of twisted meat,
quivering in the orange jello.
demonic hula dancers leaped in frenzied
spasms
of ritual political flagellation,
as newscasters slithered offstage
to hiss @ narcoleptic snurds in ouija
publications.>>
(nimrods get 86'd to the pit).

of course the mockingbirds were
constantly monitoring all
possible situations
with keen-eyed organized surveillance.

i've installed a trapdoor under
my front doormat
to deal with the missionaries from the
temple of the writhing python.
they just eat the piranhas
in the tank
when i pull the lever on them
& show up next time in frogman attire.
they're trying to wear down
my resistance.
. . .excuse me i think that's the doorbell.
Track Name: monitors of mulu
monitors of mulu
by zed mizar

our intrepid saucer crew had blundered into a negative universe
of maximum suckage & crashed
on the quarantined prison planet earth, another beautiful green world
that the pseudo-humanoids had turned into an orbiting toilet of corruption.
the ruling class on the entire planet was pseudo-humanoid
but the humans were unaware of this
because of the brainwash hypnosis broadcasts
backed up by all the ion mind control satellites & the drugged water.
we were immune to the deception & saw the pseudos as they really are,
looking like a cross between a weasel, a scorpion
& a giant blood-sucking leech, but the earthlings were completely unaware &
some of the stupider ones even worshipped the pseudos.

we had seen this system on so many worlds by now that it was
boringly predictable. a blanket of mediocrity was over everything,
it was illegal for a person to be themselves or to manifest originality & our
greatest battle was to resist succumbing to the depression
caused by the boredom of sameness. all the songs sounded the same,
all the movies said the same thing, there was
5000 satellite channels that all had the same programs.
everybody sucked on the sewer pipe & begged for more.

we knew that our only hope was to defy the blanket of conformity
& fearlessly act crazy & be constantly spontaneously original, because
this would confuse & mystify the zombies & their overlords
so much that it would cause them to malfunction
& misfire in complete befuddlement. (pseudos cannot function in situations
in which creativity operates
because they are analysts who can only deal with statistical probability
in repressive conditions. they do not even believe that freedom & spontaneity
are possible, so they cannot deal with it
& collapse into flailing twitches when confronted with it).

we set about acting crazy with no plan or predisposition.
we bought large mackerels on a whim & stood on a street corner
swinging them by the tail & smacking each other in the head.
the more wine we drank the funnier this seemed to be.
we had our stealth suits on so we could always
slip away before the authorities arrived. crowds would gather
in confusion & soon cracks in the conformity dome began to appear.
some people began to act spontaneously, sparked by our example.
meanwhile, we had been able to create leviterium
using the latest synthesizers & the saucer was healing organically
from sunlight. we lifted off for the lunar colony
& said a prayer for the inhabitants of this upside-down world who,
unlike us, were imprisoned by gravity that dragged them down
into the smoking hell of major suction, flailing around in the muck like
mastodons in the tar pit, repeating political slogans
while shopping for deodorant online in 3D
with phones that were smarter than they were--trapped in the negative zone.
